Mark is a minor character who debuts in Amateur Hour.

In Amateur Hour, Mark participates in an amateur talent show audition. However, he messes up quite badly, so Iris and her friends invite him to their house to practice his tricks. He drastically improves, successfully making a coin disappear with a puff of yellow smoke. Little does he know that Praxina and Mephisto are watching him. Mark has a magic show at Nathaniel’s smoothie bar, cracking jokes whenever he messed up or hurt himself. A video of his act is sent to the head of the amateur talent show, who agrees to let him perform.
On his way home that night, Praxina and Mephisto talk to him in an alleyway and offer him a magic wand made of Gramorr’s magic capable of boosting his power. They ask him to consider joining their side, and he assumes that they’re another magic act. Mark takes the wand, and Praxina and Mephisto disappear with a puff of smoke.
At the talent show, Iris gets a call that says that the head of the talent show is running late. Mark shrugs it off and uses the extra time to practice his act for the show. He decides to test out his new wand, pulling it from his bag, and Amaru (who is sitting on the stage with him) immediately growls at the sight of it. Iris, Talia, and Amaru take their seats to watch him practice while Auriana serves as his assistant. Mark tries to perform a classic rabbit-from-a-hat trick. but when he uses the wand, it summons a rabbit made of black crystal.
Everybody is surprised and alarmed, and Mark realizes that the wand has REAL magical powers. Auriana takes the wand away from him and gives it to Talia, but the rabbit jumps high in the air and distracts her. Mark grabs the wand back and runs off stage and out of the building. When he runs through the streets, he comes across Praxina and Mephisto, who promise him even more magic. They then take him to their dilapidated warehouse. When they fly upwards, he drops a picture of his grandfather.
Praxina and Mephisto interrogate Mark (they ask him how Lolirock keep getting Oracle Gems and which kingdom of Ephedia is he from). He has no answers to these questions, and asks them how they can fly.
