Talia and Kyle Sitting In a Tree is the eighth episode of the first season of LoliRock.
Synopsis
When cute Kyle takes a shine to Talia, she rebuffs his attention. But before long, she discovers there's more to this boy than meets the eye.
Plot
Talia is training Iris to use the Crystal Whisper Spell in the Battle Arena while Amaru watches. Talia summons a creature using Crysta Ferocis for Iris to practice on. Auriana enters the Battle Arena. Iris and the creature have a practice match with her on the back of Amaru's pegasus form. Iris loses as she is unable to find an opening to use the spell.
The girls take a break at the Smoothie Bar. Missy enters with Kyle to make Nathaniel jealous and because his mother asked him to show him around town. Kyle takes a liking to Talia and asks if he can watch Lolirock rehearse. Iris and Auriana agree in an attempt to push Kyle and Talia together. Mephisto and Praxina watch this from afar.
Iris approaches Talia with the promise to help her talk to boys. Talia is suspicious of Kyle and wonders if he's a trap set up by the twins. Talia resolves to keep her mind on the mission. During practice, Kyle calls and asks Talia to go on a picnic with him, to which she declines. Later, Kyle gives her a book light as a gift and compares her eyes to crystals. She becomes flustered, though scolds him for it. Auriana and Iris realize the "crystal" comment could link him to the twins and resolve to keep him from Talia.
During rehearsal, Kyle arrives and brings Talia a drink. Auriana knocks it out of Talia's hands using magic before she can drink it. This causes it to spill all over the musical notes. Auriana is on guard, which winds up ruining the rehearsal and frustrating Talia. 'Kyle' then comes back and asks to watch practice despite rehearsal being over.
Iris and Auriana follow 'Kyle' later that night. He meets up with the twins and is revealed to be a minotaur. The princesses try to confront them, but the twins and the minotaur disappear. Kyle later brings Talia flowers. When he leaves, Iris and Auriana arrive and warn Talia about them. Talia turns the flowers to crystal and tosses them away. The twins reveal their plan to Gramorr to break Talia's heart with a fake Kyle and deplete her energy.
While backstage before a concert, Iris's pendant glows and alerts her that Kyle is in danger. However, 'Kyle' is sitting peacefully in the audience. The girls perform Crystal Locatum, which leads them to the real Kyle, who is frozen in black crystal. The twins arrive with 'Kyle', and Praxina mocks Talia for believing Kyle had feelings for her. Iris and Auriana transform. Talia is distracted by the real Kyle and almost gets attacked by Praxina. She dodges and transforms. Amaru takes them all into the Battle Arena.
The girls try and fail to trap the minotaur in crystal. Praxina continues to berate Talia. Talia attacks Praxina with crystal out of anger, though her attack is ineffective. The girls are all knocked down. Iris rides Amaru while he's in pegasus form to escape the minotaur's attacks. Iris lands on the minotaur's back and successfully uses the Crystal Whisper Spell, Crystasedare Intra, to put it to sleep. Talia is able to knock Praxina back with crystal, and the twins disappear. The girls vaporize it with Crystal Luxtra.
Later, Talia frees Kyle with Crystal Solvenda and gazes at him with a blush. An Oracle Gem is summoned while she holds him. Nathanial goes to sit by Kyle, who believes the events that transpired were a weird dream. The girls perform BFF. Later, Talia is writing in her Scroll of Thoughts. Kyle comes to take Talia on their first date on the dock. The two hold hands while Auriana and Iris contemplate getting a smoothie to celebrate their first date.
